Network clinics

Network clinics* have been set up to provide better access to medical services on the Island of Montréal. The clinics are open 12 hours a day during the week and eight hours a day on the weekend. Most of these clinics are available, without appointment, seven days a week, even on holidays, and they also have access to nearby radiology services.

Family medicine group (GMF)

A family medicine group (GMF) is a group of doctors who work in close cooperation with nurses in an environment that is conducive to the practice of family medicine.

This allows doctors to develop a relationship of trust with their patients and to work more effectively to prevent and treat health problems.
Family doctors who practice in a GMF also work closely with colleagues at the health and social service centre (CSSS), hospital centres and pharmacies, and with other health professionals in your region.

GMFs are a central element of Québec's new strategy to facilitate access to family doctors.
